About Adisha

My name is Adisha and I have studied BSc Biomedical Science, and MSc Molecular Medicine at Imperial College London.
Having been a maths tutor and organising my own maths club for the younger students in Upton Court Grammar School, I am confident in tutoring KS3 and GCSE maths along with other subjects students may struggle in, including 11 Plus. I have also done online tutoring via the platform of MyTutor and am thus an experienced tutor. Since I am currently studying Biomedical Science, I have a great understanding in biology and chemistry and can thus help students to excel in these subjects. I enjoyed tutoring during my time in Sixth Form and found it useful for students in achieving the grades they wanted. Through the MyTutor platform I had also tutored a range of subjects including English Literature and Language GCSEs. My understanding approach in tutoring students allows me to enhance each student's learning style and adapt my teaching to accompany their way of learning. I ensure to address any struggles students have in their subjects and help them to achieve the best they can!

About the lesson

Practice is essential. I believe in locating the student's weak points in subjects they are taught at school and focusing on these areas. Through worksheets I will be able to find areas in which the student is struggling and thus work on this by correcting their understanding of the basics of the topic. Through further practice questions and solutions the student will be able to develop their understanding. Having previously taught using this method via in person tutoring, I have done during my sixth form, and through my online tutoring experience from MyTutor, teaching KS3 and GCSE students, I have found this a very useful approach in developing the understanding and confidence of my students.
