About Gaëlle

Born in Kigali, Rwanda, raised in Denmark since age 7, studied in Beijing, China - I have for as long as I can recall been interested in mixing cultures and exploring new and unfamiliar sights. My longing for adventures has brought me near and far, and currently I've anchored myself at the East side of Denmark where I make the days count with my little family.

In relation to 'Danish as a second language', I have a lived experience of once being a newcomer in Denmark myself with everything it entails on the linguistic, intercultural, relational and personal level.

When I am not teaching, I'm enrolled in studies to become a Psychotherapist. In my sparetime I love to dance, read, go for walks in nature, listen to a good podcast and share quality time with close ones.

Personally, I am driven by empathy, honesty and a passion for understanding fellow human beings. My former colleagues describe me as having high personal integrity and have acknowledged my skills for building rapport and my structured work ethic.

About the lesson

By applying my experience in teaching language acquisition for adults, coaching and online user experience, I can help you improve your language skills, through an engaging learning experience that inspires & motivates you to realize your fullest potential in this area.

It is my driving force to work with learning development and create engagement through content-specific and pedagogical efforts that aim to strengthen the student's linguistic and cultural competencies. Following here are more clues on how I work as a teacher:

- Creating a learning environment that is tailored to your preferred pace by meeting you where you are at your level
- Organizing the curriculum with space for flexibility and adaptability
- Actively listening and sincerely interested in your growth
- Supporting you in gaining clarity about your own resources and possibilities
