About Laprecia
I am Mrs L I am secondary paraprofessional and tutor. I have worked in a Public and Non-Public school setting for over ten years. I am pursing my bachelors degree in Secondary Mathematics and Science. I currently work in a middle school in grade 6th-8th and I enjoy developing strong relationships with my students which allows student to be able to approach education in a positive and productive manner. I enjoy my job and look forwarded to the day of being a Math teacher.

My approach to math is to Incorporate storytelling to make connections to real-world scenarios, Use visuals and images, and repetition. A simple strategy that students can use to improve math skills is repetition.
A typical lesson plan includes anticipating what strategies students will use when solving problems, monitoring student work to survey different strategies and approaches and sequencing student presentations to maximize the overall learning of the class.
I believe that having patience and strong communication helps student become comfortable when challenges arises. My focus is to tutor students to increase the math skills and have the confidence.
