About Alex
I'm a masters student at the University of Exeter, where I've been studying physics for 4 years. I'm currently taking a year out to enjoy the world before doing a PhD in theoretical physics next year. I am also very experienced in the field of 'being wrong' when it comes to the mathematical sciences, and I aim to show my students how mistakes are just steps towards success, and shouldn't get you down.
I also have a cat called Toby.

In my lessons I encourage a practical approach to learning, as an Master's physics student at the University of Exeter I have learned firsthand that most effective way to improve your skills is to get to grips with problem solving, breaking down the unknown into a series of achievable steps. Solving problems itself is an important skill, and one that supports a deeper understanding of the topics learned.
A typical lesson is around an hour, which can be extended if necessary.
