About Dan
My workshops have typically been group based but since Covid are mostly private one-on-one. The interest of the student is the priority and we can cover whatever topic is most needed. I have been teaching photography and post-layout processing for over 10 years. I am based in marketing and tourism and still currently work in the industry.

When I was just breaking into the industry I can recall wishing that this type of service was available. I really enjoy sharing what I've learned over the years and typically remain in touch with students for additional questions. All workshops are completely customizable to the student's needs. None are the same.
Ive been teaching friends since I can recall. It has always been a natural thing for me.
I have a marketing and tourism-based background and have been in the publishing world for 10+ years. I am self-taught and fortunate enough to have a creative eye.

Most students have unique goals with what they wish to learn. Once I find out what those goals are we decide together how the lesson or workshop should go and how long it should last.
Mostly entry-level to intermediate. I have taught high-school classes as well as adult education.
This is money well-spent, as we can save you so much time and direction, but beware of cookie-cutter style of teaching where everything is the same for any student. Everyone learns at their own pace and in their own way and therefore every workshop is different.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What do they find most challenging when approaching a particular shot.
What troubles them the most about the photography process.
Make a list of everything and be share to share it with your instructor and receive feedback before choosing.
