About Nishtha

Hi there! My name is Nishtha, and I am currently a student at Monash University studying a Bachelor of Commerce and Computer Science.

I am genuinely passionate about helping students improve their understanding and confidence in their studies, particularly in Math, Science, English, and VCE subjects.

Having recently gone through these subjects myself, I understand the challenges students face and how overwhelming certain topics can feel.

My tutoring approach is focused on making learning clear, structured, and less stressful. I aim to break down complex ideas into simple steps so students can build both understanding and confidence over time.

I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit individual needs, whether that means revising foundational concepts, working through homework, or preparing for exams and assessments.

I am committed to creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.
My goal is not just to help students improve their marks, but to help them develop stronger study habits and become more independent learners over time.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is focused on helping students build a strong understanding of key concepts, improve problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in their learning over time. I aim to simplify difficult topics into clear, step-by-step explanations so students can understand not just what to do, but why they are doing it.

I am currently a student at Monash University studying a Bachelor of Commerce and Computer Science, which allows me to bring a structured and analytical approach to learning and teaching. I use this background to break down concepts in Math, Science, English, and VCE subjects in a way that is easy to understand and apply in exams.

My teaching style is flexible and student-focused. I adapt each lesson based on the student’s needs—whether that means revising foundational concepts, working through homework, or preparing for assessments and exams. I focus on identifying gaps in understanding and building them up systematically.

A typical lesson runs for 1 hour, although longer sessions can be arranged if needed. Each session is structured with a mix of explanation, guided practice, and independent problem-solving to ensure the student fully understands the material.

My lessons are suitable for Year 7–10 students as well as VCE students depending on the subject. I support students who may be struggling, as well as those aiming to improve their confidence and performance in assessments and exams.
Overall, my goal is to make learning more approachable, reduce confusion around difficult topics, and help students become more independent and confident learners! ️
