About Holly

I am a recent First Class graduate in Modern Languages and Cultures (French and Italian) from Durham University with a long-held interest in French culture.

This four-year degree has developed my fluency in the French language; most notably thanks to the 6 months I spent living in France. I worked as a Language Assistant at a University in Paris where I helped establish their Language Centre and offered a relaxed environment for French students to practice their English.

As well as this above-noted experience in language teaching, for 2 years I have partaken in the online tutoring of French A-level students as part of a volunteering scheme at Durham University.
I have also provided a few French sessions in primary schools, so have experience with a variety of age groups.

I'm easy-going and eager to help others in their language learning pursuits - so please don't hesitate to get in touch!

About the lesson

- One-to-one online lessons.
- Flexible structure and content of classes which are adaptable and dependent on the needs and interests of the tutee.
- Varied and comprehensive sessions which may include, but are not limited to, focus on French speaking, grammar, writing, reading, listening and translation.
- Happy to assist students with classwork and exam preparation, providing personalised resources and advice.
- Patient approach to lessons striving to maximise the tutee's confidence in the language and enjoyment of the content.
- Feedback available via email - with notes after each lesson, if desired, regarding important points discussed, corrections, useful resources etc.
