About Emery
Diction, articulation, and resonance are the pillars of my approach as I guide kids, teens, and adults through the mechanics of the voice. Having earned my MMus Music Performance from Berklee College of Music, I focus on the underlying concepts of pitch control and healthy belting technique.
My 5 years of teaching span from nervous beginners to grade-exam candidates who seek technical precision. I prioritize understanding the anatomy of sound to build a solid foundation. Working professionals and returning learners find that my direct approach clears away confusion. Stage fear often paralyzes a performer before they even begin. Confidence requires preparation.
We address microphone technique and performance nerves by dissecting the music into manageable, logical components. My 5 years of experience allow me to identify exactly where your technique falters during complex harmony singing. I provide recorded warm-up routines for your daily practice to ensure your vocal health remains a priority between our meetings. The process of mastering a difficult passage through steady, quiet work is deeply satisfying.
