About Beau
Hi, I’m Beau—a passionate and experienced math and physics tutor. I’m the salutatorian of one of the top schools in my city and now a freshman at MIT, the world's #1 engineering school. I’ve tutored students for 4+ years across all grade levels in Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus, so I know what it takes to succeed in challenging math and science courses. I scored a 1530 on the SAT, including a 790 out of 800 in Math, and earned perfect scores in both IB Mathematics and AP Calculus BC (Calculus II). Whether you're struggling with the basics or aiming for top scores, I bring patience, clarity, and experience to every lesson.

First lessons are free and informal. I use these to get to know my students, as well as for them to get to know me, not just as a teacher but also as a person. Being comfortable with my students is very important to me; it establishes the best learning environment, where they feel at ease and are not afraid to ask questions. Most of my teaching materials include slideshows and worksheets, but I am flexible and willing to create alternative materials to meet students' needs. I am only 18 years old and am just entering my first year at MIT, so I understand the struggles of high school math more intimately than most. Moreover, I can relate to most of my college or high school students because they are my peers, making the lessons more relatable and less intimidating. Math is my passion, and I am willing to work with anyone on any level to share it with them.
