I am a middle school teacher that has taught Math and Language Arts for 6 years in the virtual environment. I have also tutored virtually for K-5 reading. I have a B.S. in Biology and a M.S. in Education with Cross-Cultural emphasis.

I believe in structuring short lessons that highlight concepts into chunks while scaffolding new information. Shorter lessons allow more 1:1 time for guided practice, independent practice, and informal assessment of the concepts that have been taught. I believe that learning should be approached on an individual level as each student has different needs.
