About Renee
My name is Renee, I teach 7th and 8th-grade special education math! I began tutoring in 2018 while in college and have continued ever since. I was the top recommended math tutor at my college averaging about 20 students a semester. When in school, I was a student who struggled to understand math classes which drove me to teach myself and help others who think similarly to me and struggle as well. I can break down the tasks and make them more manageable to improve the success of students.

I offer a personalized approach to learning that is different for every student. I relate concepts to real-world scenarios and the interests of the student to make concepts more understandable. I offer reteaching as often as needed and breaking down tasks until they are understandable. Every lesson looks different depending on the lesson, student, and comprehension level. I am set apart as a tutor because I have a genuine care and drive to help students of all ages succeed and enjoy the work they are doing. I have experience working with students at all ages, elementary school through college courses. I specialize in all math subjects, especially Algebra, Pre-calculus, and Calculus.
