About Talitha
My name is Ansley Yawn. I have taught middle and high school math for 18 years, and two years as a SPED teacher. I have taught everything from 6th grade math to Calculus and possess a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. I have a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction, and I use a variety of online tools to diversify my content.

Hello!
When I teach and tutor, I like to get to know the student and their current skill level before I start working with them. I will ask questions about their interests and math skills, ask them to perform a skills assessment, and then I will derive and individualized learning plan just for them. I work with students from 5th grade through 12th grade on any math skills within that range. I will typically teach a lesson by connecting the skill to one of the student's interests, I will demonstrate the skill myself, work with the student together, and then ask the student to try without my help. I will also insert a game-like activity during the practice.
