About Nikki
Combining my love for teaching and my passion for growing food, I have created an introductory class for growing your own microgreens at home, an endeavor that has become a significant source of joy for me. My journey began during the summer of 2004 when I was teaching an Upward Bound class. It was during this time that I introduced my students to the fascinating world of microgreens. Witnessing their enthusiasm as seeds transformed into vibrant greens was not only gratifying but also sparked a deeper appreciation for the process of growth. These tiny plants, packed with nutrients and bursting with flavor, became a gateway for my students to connect with nature and understand the importance of sustainable eating practices.
