About Chisom
I am a Microbiology Honors student in my second year at the University of Alberta. I have so much passion for biology as a course and I would like to share that passion with high school students. I enjoyed biology so much in high school and provided tutoring and assistance on difficult concepts to my classmates and peers. I won awards all my years in high school due to my outstanding performance in the course. I also represented my school in biology competitions and conferences.

My teaching methods include active learning, problem solving and interactivity. I also encourage the use of mind maps during classes to help students connect major concepts and to also serve as a study tool. A typical day in class involves introduction and background knowledge on topic to be studied for the day, detailed explanation of concepts through demonstrations, animations and educational videos on the subject. I also provide practical applications of the concepts in the world. I also encourage discussions and question and answer sessions during classes. Classes are designed for high school and middle school students.
