About Jason
I am a UCLA graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. I have 5 years of experience privately tutoring high school students in the subjects of Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. Additionally, I gained experience tutoring K-8 students in all subjects through my 2 years of work at KinderCare.

My teaching approach is tailored to the specific student. I learned quickly in my tutoring career that each student grasps concepts differently. For example, one student might respond better to visual illustrations while another prefers mathematical breakdowns. I ensure I explain each concept in a number of different ways until I see the student has a clear understanding of what I am teaching. Once I believe they do have a clear understanding, we work through example problems so they can apply the new concepts. Once they are answering a high percentage of example problems correctly, we move on to the next concept.
To ensure high marks on grades, I meticulously break down each and every concept so the student feels completely prepared to answer any question on examinations. I help craft study guides, as well as share my advice on test-taking strategies I acquired through my four years at UCLA.
