About Michelle
I am a TEFL-certified Native Speaker of English with 5 years of teaching experience in EFL, English literature, and International Baccalaureate (IB) coursework. Teaching has brought me into the primary and secondary classroom, as well as business-English classes for adults.
While teaching English, I've also been completing my own studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences. I hold a BFA in Museum Studies, an MA in History, and an MS in Archives Management. I am currently pursuing a degree in Architectural History.
I've lived and studied abroad in Turkey and Germany and am always enthusiastic to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. I hope to see you in the classroom soon!
I trained in Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) for TEFL, and strive to create a classroom environment that is tailored to my student's interests and real-world needs. I especially love bringing realia and visual resources into the classroom.
As an educator, I prize creativity and expression and encourage my students to bring their passion and unique ideas to our learning space. My personal motto is: learning is for life!
