About Alistair

I am a first-class BA (Hons) in Linguistics and MSc in Applied Cognitive Psychology (Distinction) graduate, currently working as a UX Writer at Meta.

All subjects are welcome, and I can focus on areas where you need the most work. For example, forming an argument, structure, spelling, formatting, proofreading, grammar, and essay writing are accommodated.

About the lesson

I follow your lead with teaching, what would you like to learn and what are your goals? We can go over homework, feedback on essays or general exam revision. Lessons will either be pre-planned or more casual depending on your needs.

My teaching method is for the student to take the lead in what questions or issues they have on the topic. If the student is struggling with an aspect, I try to find a new angle or way of understanding that makes sense to them. Since every student is different, the same way of looking at a problem may not be the same. I am patient and friendly and am happy to keep going with the student until they understand.

I can meet in person or remotely.
