About GAVIN
I am a graduate process engineer currently working in the energy industry. I graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2020 with a 1st class master’s degree in chemical engineering. I am passionate about mathematics, physics, chemistry and engineering and I have helped my siblings and friends in these areas as a hobby. I have had a strong academic record throughout high school studying mathematics and physics to Scottish Advanced Higher level and Chemistry to Scottish Higher level. I then studied general engineering for 2 years at university before specialising in chemical engineering in years 3-5, achieving 1st class merit on 80% of my courses. I am now looking to help students studying towards Scottish National 4/5, Higher, Advanced Higher and GCSE, A-levels. I can also assist with university engineering tutoring and general mentoring.

I base my tutoring on past paper questions and curriculum textbook exercises to ensure students become masters of the examinable material. I also use feedback from students on areas they find difficult to spend time improving knowledge of these areas. I can help students learn how to revise and some techniques I have used to learn material.

Details
For secondary and primary school tutoring prices are inclusive of the flat fee.
For university level problems I require 1 hour of prep time prior to a lesson to complete problems and provide worked solutions (i.e for an hour lesson 2 hours booking is required).
