About Sachit

Hey, my name is Sachit, and I'm a Year 11 Student at Melbourne High School, one of the top-performing schools in the state. I have spent years refining my learning system and am eager to share my knowledge and to support my students.

Qualifications:
- Achieved a 50% scholarship at previous school, followed by a full scholarship
- Previous student in the ALPHA program at Alphington Grammar School
- Currently attending Melbourne High School
-Undertaking both Specialist Mathematics and Math Methods in VCE, with a B+ and A average respectively
- 4x Academic Awards in Mathematics and English in Years 7-8
- Undertook a Year 10 Extension Subject at Centre for Higher Educational Studies (CHES)

About the lesson

I truly believe that mathematics, and learning in general, can be extremely satisfying and has a lot of beauty within it; I intend to share that beauty with my students, to ensure that learning and practising mathematics becomes something a student looks forward to and can succeed in.

My approach will be flexible, patient and encouraging to ensure a student not only excels, but enjoys the process along the way. Students will focus on mastering topics by understanding why a certain method works, instead of simply regurgitating formulas, using active recall and challenging practice questions. These techniques will help them even when dealing with higher-level mathematics topics.

Lessons will be one hour, and are aimed at students in Years 6-10. Included in the lesson will be:

- Assistance in any area of mathematics (algebra, trigonometry, geometry, statistics, probability, logic)
- Extension in any area of mathematics (algebra, trigonometry, geometry, statistics, probability, logic)
- Support with assignments, examination preparation, study techniques, homework, textbook questions

Experience: I've helped to tutor younger cousins, along with friends at school. Moreover, I have experience teaching in the Australian Air Force Cadets.
