About Avishar
My name is Avishar, but my students can call me Avi as I like to treat my students like my friends so we can already have a good connection between us.
I have tutored students in the past before I came to university and I haven’t come across any problems as such in regards to any student dissatisfaction. Please rest assured that the teaching I provide is of good quality and will stick to you!
During my time in Sixth Form, I was a mentor as well as a senior prefect, taking part in charity events in addition to managing students’ mental health and studies. Through this, I have been able to effectively enhance my commmunication skills so I can engage with any kind of student.
More about me, I am also a very sporty person! My main sports are Badminton, Rugby (winger position) and Karate in which I am a Black Belt 2nd Dan. I also teach a lot in Karate, to adults and children alike. Again, the communicative skills as well as perseverance I built from this helps a lot when I teach new students academically and see them through their course.

I tend to use an interactive approach to my lessons which entails first teaching my students the content of the syllabus and along the way, asking them questions related to it, in order to see if they are retaining all the information. The answer to the questions could involve the student drawing diagrams, or writing an answer to get into the feeling of taking an exam. I would then set them a relatively small amount of homework to do for them to hand back the next time we see each other and we can work on their weak points from there to make them into an amazing student.
The typical length of my lessons would be an hour each and these lessons are aimed for students in secondary school/college/sixth form from year 7 all the way up to GCSE and A level stage.
My A level qualifications are A*A*A*A for Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Further Maths respectively and my GCSEs are 9 9 9 A^ (A hat) for Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Further Maths respectively.
