About Elizabeth

I'm a third-year Medical Student at the University of Exeter.
I aspire to specialise as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon once I graduate and begin my post-graduate medical teaching and training.

In my spare time, I enjoy teaching and mentoring, reading medical journals and literature, going on long walks and hikes, experiencing new and stimulating ventures, and volunteering as a tutor for disadvantaged school pupils with an organisation called CoachBright.

I achieved 3 A*s at A-Level in Chemistry, Maths, and Biology. My favourite subject at A-Level was Chemistry.

I achieved 10 A*s/9s at GCSE, including A*s in my taught subjects.

I am a tutor for an organisation for Student Mind (previously called Medic Mind), where I've tutored several GCSE and A level students in Maths and the three sciences, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. I’ve been privileged to see my students improve significantly with their competence, confidence, and grades in their chosen subjects throughout my tutoring career, both as a professional tutor and volunteer tutor. I look forward to producing the same results with you!

About the lesson

Each lesson will be online and delivered over Zoom. Lessons will be interactive and tailored to the students' preferred and most useful learning style(s). Past papers and homework/supplementary work will be set if the student requires/request for it.

Lessons will last for one hour.

My qualifications are:
- Expected to graduate with a first-class honours in a MBBS Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor's of Science degree in 2025.
- 10 A*s/9s at GCSE, including an A* in Chemistry and Maths.
- 3 A*s at A level in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths.

My experience:
I have been a tutor for a medical organisation called Student Mind since October 2020 to the present day.

My duties and responsibilities in the role include:
• Planning, organising, and timetabling lessons.
• Teaching BMAT, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology lessons to A-Level and GCSE students.
• Writing summary reports of the content covered in the taught lessons and sending them to students.
• Planning the homework tasks for students.
• Monitoring the progress of students and giving them regular feedback.

These will apply, where relevant, to my lessons with you.

My lessons are aimed at GCSE, AS and A level students.
