About Melina
I wasn’t always a top student - in primary school, I was often near the bottom of my class. What changed things was starting tuition: having someone help me pinpoint exactly what I was getting wrong, rather than just working through a syllabus. That support turned things around, and I went on to achieve top grades through GCSEs and A-Levels, and I’m now studying Medicine in London.
That journey is why I tutor. I know what it feels like to struggle and doubt yourself - and what it feels like once the right support helps things click. I want to give my students that same belief in what they’re capable of.
Outside of tutoring, I love the gym, getting outdoors for a walk, exploring new places, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

My approach starts by making sure the fundamentals and core understanding are solid before moving on to exam technique and past-paper practice. Lesson length can vary depending on the student, but a typical session is an hour. I tutor Biology, Chemistry and Maths for all ages and levels up to and including A-Level.
As a first-year medical student who achieved 4 A*s and an A at A-Level, I bring recent, first-hand knowledge of exactly what today’s exam boards are looking for. I also have hands-on tutoring experience, having taught GCSE and A-Level students one-to-one and mentored younger students through their own exams and university applications.
