About Jack
I am a practised scientist, but also an experienced teacher. I have worked as a ski instructor in Canada teaching children and adults and have volunteered with physically and mentally disabled children. I was part of the senior teaching and training staff whilst in the air cadets where I learnt many useful skills that have helped me create fun and engaging lessons for my students. I’m very easy going and approachable, and focus on tailoring lessons to students style using the many skills and tactics I have developed over the years.

No two students are the same, so no two lessons will be the same. I try to build a rapport with students that helps me understand how best they work. I use a “ground up” style that makes sure the basics of what is being discussed are understood perfectly and from all directions, so that students can use their own logic and the information I provide to make conclusions about more difficult topics. Which I believe creates more rounded scientific minds, who have learnt not just the subject but how best to approach new information and be an efficient learner.
