About Tanveer
I am a Medical student at UCL hoping to inspire those in primary school and secondary school to not only dedicate time to their studies but to enjoy their learning experiences so that studying becomes a hobby rather than a chore. I have experience tutoring younger children through which I have learnt a great deal about how to keep them engaged for longer periods of time.The key to providing a great learning experience is to teach with passion and to keep the student engaged with questions and activities. As someone who has always aimed for and achieved the highest grades I certainly have the passion required for teaching. I am also willing to dedicate time before my lessons to plan a personalised session with resources tailored to the child I am tutoring.
I will also be able to provide examination preparation for SATs and GCSE’s.

My teaching method involves starting with the brief overview of the topic being taught. Once I have done this I intend to go through example questions with my student to highlight how questions should be answered before giving them a question to attempt themselves. We will then go through their answer to help them understand what went well and how they can improve further.
The typical length of a lesson will be 1 hour 30 mins. One hour of this time will go towards teaching and going through examples and the last half an hour for me to provide feedback on how they can improve.
Qualifications:
All A*’s at GCSE’s including Maths, English and Science
3 A*’s at A-level in Biology, Chemistry and Maths
I have tutored children in my local area in the past. The age range of those I have tutored is 5-15.
My lessons are for children in primary school and secondary school aged between 4-16. I can tutor GCSE students in Maths, English and Science.
