About Eleanor

Hi Im Ellie, I am a 4th year medical student in Brighton. I have experience tutoring in Maths and Science. I am easy going and keen on making tutoring a non stressful experience. Learning should be fun and ideally tutoring will help you gain confidence yourself and not something to dread!

I have spent the last year intercalating at UCL in Policy, Communication, and Ethics where I received a first class BSc and have now returned to my penultimate year of medical school at BSMS.

I'm happy to return to Brighton, one of the best cities, and start working here again.

About the lesson

Hi all !

I am Ellie, a 4th year medical student here in Brighton, offering tutoring in students from KS2 to GCSE level, and can also offer admission, interview and personal statement sessions for medical schools.

Im keen to prioritise fun and low stress tutoring focusing on areas that the pupil needs the most support in! School can be tough and so making tutoring enjoyable is essential in improving and becoming a successful student. Together we will go over areas you find hard and come up with better ways of thinking and understanding complex topics at a more suitable pace for them in the one to one environment.

I am a tutor in Maths and Sciences up to GCSE level and I also offer advice and interview prep for medical school applications and interviews.

Experience: I have tutored 2 GCSE students in Mathematics where I saw them move up sets and gain confidents. I have also tutored in AS Chemistry where the student improved their grades and gained much confidence. I have further experience tutoring at primary school level in maths as well as English and literacy. I have spent even more time nannying and helping my own brothers with their school work (whether it's ALevels or SATs!) and so I understand the frustration of not understanding topics and the importance in adapting sessions to the individual to gain their own confidence.
