I use a combination of worked examples, supported practice and individual work with feedback in my lessons.
Typically an hour or two in duration and adapted to individual needs.
I am a medical student with experience tutoring for SATS, 11+ exams and GCSE.
As well as this, medical school preparation for MMI style interviews as I was offered a place at all 4 universities I sat an interview for.
