About Annabel
I will be a medical student in September and I am brimming with enthusiasm for biology, chemistry and maths!
I am able to give lessons up to A Level standard, and can give advice on the UKCAT medical school entrance exam or medical interviews, since I have helped younger students with the admissions process, as well as GCSE mentoring.

For more content-based subjects - such as biology and chemistry - I read the specification to gauge what the exam board is putting the most emphasis on. In addition to this, I use the specification to determine what potential questions could be asked, such as longer-answer questions (6 or 10 marker questions).
In lessons we work through the individual topics methodically, explaining key concepts and doing practice questions, to not only reinforce what we are learning, but to also recognise questions where key words can gain marks. These key words are highlighted on mark schemes, and thus it is very beneficial to detail model answers, containing the key words.
For the more method-based subjects - such as maths - practice is vital. I can help you understand any areas you are having difficulty with before we go through example questions; since in maths many questions can be approached in the same way, these notes can be referred to whilst practising the method. This repetitive style will help you remember how to complete the questions!
