About Charlotte

I am very passionate about teaching and seeing my students achieve amazing results. Being a tutor is extremely fulfilling and rewarding as I am able to support students on their academic journey in improving confidence and skills to achieve their ambitions. As a student myself, I understand how difficult it is to navigate educational challenges and sometimes ask for help in larger settings and therefore I am always happy to act as a mentor for students alongside being their tutor.

About the lesson

Hi! I’m Charlotte, a current Medical Student studying at King’s College London. I specialise in GCSE Maths and Science, with all my students achieving at least two grade jumps with as little as 12 weeks of tuition with me. Having recently completed my own GCSEs and A-Levels, I’m very familiar with the current curriculum and the exam techniques needed for success. I’ve thoroughly analysed examiner reports and understand which topics students commonly find challenging. While exam technique is vital, a solid understanding of mechanisms is key. That’s why I’ve developed a variety of tailored resources that support different learning styles. I recognise that students don’t all learn the same way - for some, visual or illustrative content is far more effective than written notes especially for complex concepts. After my students are confident with a topic, I place a heavy focus on exam questions and working on technique. I always work through exam questions first with my students and then allow them to answer these independently. My goal is always to create a supportive, personalised learning environment that helps each student build confidence and achieve the results they’re aiming for. I also always provide homework and feedback for parents. In addition to this, I also support students in Medical Interviews and so offer a service for this. All my students have achieved at least 3/4 offers for medical school. I have extensive knowledge of medical interviews and having experienced and volunteered at all different styles such as MMI, Panel and Group - I am able to provide students with knowledge on how to excel.
