About Mithra
Hey :) My name is Mithra and I have achieved A*AA (Chemistry, Biology and Maths) in my A-levels. I have also achieved a 9 in GCSE chemistry and maths and an A^ in level 2 further maths. I am up to date with the new curriculum and I am very passionate to teach students about how they can perform their best in exams and secure those top grades. I have previously had experience teaching maths to primary school children and I have also been advising students on medical school applications. Moreover, I have been able to teach friends during GCSEs and A-levels by delivering the information in a coherent way which helps them understand and retain the information better. I have been able to build on these skills in medical school as a key part of our learning is to teach peers.

My teaching methods include identifying and focusing on my students’ weaknesses. I will do this by organising lessons that will challenge them and improve their confidence when answering exam style questions. My aim is to enhance their understanding and to work on exam techniques. This will be achieved by working through many practice questions within the sessions. I think it’s also vital to give them feedback throughout the lesson so they can reflect on their performance. Furthermore, I have gathered many revision strategies such as active recall and spaced repetition that are extremely effective and will definitely be useful in their further education.
