About Ross
I am a 27 year old 3rd year medical student and history graduate, with both degrees studied at the University of Manchester, happy to tutor Chemistry to GCSE. I am a novice tutor, but as a current student I know the importance of covering the basics thoroughly but keeping a subject fresh and interesting through different exercises. Have a flexible schedule both midweek (preferably) and at weekends, and willing to travel up to 10-15 miles to students.

Throughout my extensive academic career I have always found that a fundamental understanding of a subject is necessary before being able to successfully commit it to memory. I am a strong advocate of working through a problem verbally and understanding each aspect, as well as being able to answer practice questions. Quiz-based games can help test knowledge whilst keeping the subject fresh and interesting.
