About Mariyah
I am a medical student who loves to make teaching fun and enjoyable. I have been a private tutor for over 5 years. I am a registered tutor with multiple tutoring agencies: Tutor Doctor, MyTutor and StudySage. Given my medical background, I am the perfect tutor for your Maths and Science needs. I enjoy giving the gift of education and put my students at the heart of what I do. I keep up to date with the specification and always stick up to the national curriculum. I have tutored both high flyers and SEN children and everything in between. I have learnt how to adapt to the needs of SEN children and how to make learning more fun and interactive for them. To make myself the best tutor I can be for my students, I have completed a Safeguarding course and completed many ADHD and autism courses. I have previously tutored students to help them prepare for 11+ exams. I have helped countless children get into schools of their choice and have received great feedback from my students.

I provide 1:1 tuition and tuition in group settings. In my first lesson, I assess my student’s current understanding of topics and highlight what topics require a bit more work. I always engage my students with the resources I make and ask questions so I accommodate to my student’s learning style. I often give my students exam questions to do independently so they have a chance to apply their knowledge and highlight any gaps. All homework is thoroughly reviewed in lessons.
