About Lilli

Hi there! I'm currently a medical student at Imperial College London, and I would love to help you achieve your academic goals! I am a friendly, patient and non-judgemental tutor aiming to create a supportive atmosphere for students. I genuinely enjoy seeing others thrive and would be more than happy to help students learn in a way that makes sense for them. I achieved 4A* in A-level (Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry) as well as achieving very high grades in GCSEs as well. With firsthand experience as a student I know how stressful exams may be; I will work alongside the student to encourage them and provide support in explaining concepts as well as answering any questions they may have. I'd love to build a friendly relationship with my students to create a less stressful environment. My experience includes: tutoring GCSE and 11+ Mathematics, as well as one year's experience being a teaching assistant for Biology.

About the lesson

I am familiar with AQA for Biology and Chemistry tutoring and Edexcel for Maths and Further Maths. I also offer lessons on Medical School applications, such as interview practice. One lesson is typically one hour. Everyone uses different techniques and this is something I would love to discuss with my students so I can tailor my sessions. I will take your goals into account and plan the sessions accordingly, e.g. going through exam questions together or explaining ideas that are hard to understand. Beginning of session: Anything requested before a session can be covered at the beginning, I am open to strong communication. I would also highlight the focus points of the session with the student. Main section of session: The main bulk of my sessions will be for what the student needs most, such as explaining concepts, trying practice or exam questions and answering any queries as we go through. Anything requested by the student will also be covered and each session is tailored specifically. End of session: Summary of the session and establishing any questions. Anything thought of after the session can be sent to me and I will address them in the next session. I am very adaptable to schedules and open to any queries so please contact me if you are interested!
