About Chou

I am a medical student at City St George’s, University of London, with previous experience tutoring GCSE students online. Having recently completed my own GCSEs and A-levels, I understand the challenges students face and know how to explain difficult concepts in a clear and relatable way.

My lessons are engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I regularly use questions and exam-style practice to assess understanding and identify areas that require improvement. Through an online interactive whiteboard, I can see students’ working in real time, allowing me to guide their thought process and address misconceptions immediately.

For topics students find difficult, I adapt my teaching methods using techniques such as flowcharts, diagrams, visual explanations, and memorable mnemonics to make learning easier and help information stay in their long-term memory. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to build confidence and create an enjoyable learning experience.

Alongside my studies, I play football at a high level for my university and previously played competitively for a local club. Through balancing sport with academics, I have developed strong discipline, organisation, and time-management skills, which I encourage my students to develop in their own studies.

About the lesson

My lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I like to assess understanding through regular questions and practice, allowing me to identify areas of weakness and address them in a targeted way. Students are always encouraged to ask questions, and we can revisit any topics they find challenging.

I use an interactive online whiteboard so that I can see students’ working in real time, making lessons more engaging and allowing me to correct misunderstandings immediately. When teaching difficult concepts, I adapt my approach to the student’s learning style by using techniques such as flow charts, diagrams, visual explanations, and memorable mnemonics to make information easier to understand and retain.
