I first assess my student's needs through a 5-10 minute conversation/interview, tutor for the rest of our initial visit where the student has felt needs of learning, and then begin putting together an individualized plan based on student needs and available resources. We then meet for an hour session with an approximately 10 minute lecture with questions to follow as well as work through materials the student brings me for explanations. I like to ask lots of questions to see how my student thinks, but I can provide mostly lecture style courses as well.
