About Rahema
I am an MBBS graduate with a strong foundation in medical sciences and a genuine interest in helping students develop their understanding of Biology. My medical education has allowed me to explore biological concepts in depth, from cellular mechanisms and molecular processes to human anatomy and disease pathways.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping students see Biology as an interconnected and meaningful subject rather than a collection of facts to memorise. I believe that a good tutor should not only provide information but also encourage curiosity, confidence and independent thinking.
My background in medicine allows me to bring a unique perspective to Biology by showing how scientific concepts relate to the human body and real-world applications. I am committed to supporting students in achieving their academic goals while developing a lasting interest in science.

My approach to tutoring is based on making Biology and medical science subjects clear, structured and easier to understand. I believe that students learn more effectively when they understand the reasoning behind a concept rather than relying only on memorisation. I therefore break complex topics into smaller, manageable sections and explain them step by step, using diagrams, examples and practice questions where appropriate.
Each lesson is adapted to the individual student. I take into account their current level of understanding, areas they find challenging, learning pace and academic goals. I encourage students to ask questions freely and regularly check their understanding throughout the lesson. Where appropriate, I also use active recall, topic-based questions and exam-style questions to help students reinforce what they have learnt and identify areas that need further attention.
A typical lesson is around 60 minutes. Depending on the student’s needs, a lesson may focus on learning a new topic, revising previously studied material, preparing for an examination, working through practice questions or concentrating on a particular area the student finds difficult. I aim to keep lessons organised while remaining flexible enough to spend additional time on concepts that require further explanation.
I am an MBBS graduate with an extensive academic background in Biology and medical sciences. Through my medical education, I have studied subjects including Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophysiology, Cellular Biology and Molecular Biology in considerable depth. This background enables me to explain biological concepts not only theoretically but, where appropriate, by connecting them with practical and clinical examples. These connections can help students understand why a concept is important and make challenging material easier to remember.
My lessons are suitable for students at different stages of their education, including school and GCSE-level Biology students, as well as students studying Biology, biomedical sciences, healthcare-related courses and relevant university-level subjects. The content and depth of each lesson will always be adjusted according to the student’s level and requirements.
Whether a student needs regular support, help understanding a difficult topic, structured revision or preparation for an upcoming examination, my aim is to provide a supportive and comfortable learning environment. I want students to feel confident asking questions, develop a genuine understanding of the subject and gradually become more independent and confident in their studies.
