About Shana
I am a Medical Bioscience student in the process of completing my Masters. My expertise lies within pre-clinical research mainly in the field of cancer and treatment thereof. I have been a tutor and practical demonstrator for 5 years and have given many lessons. I usually give group lessons as classes consist of over 60 students. Students have done really well and have asked for personal tutoring on numerous occasions. Being both a tutor and a practical demonstrator allowed me to gain 5 years of practical experience in teaching. I teach at a univeristy level usually first, second and third-year students in the scientific field.

I teach anatomy, physiology and help with examination preparation at a university level. My students are usually first, second and third-year students. I teach with various materials including wet specimens, plastic models and even theory. My techniques are based on:
Firstly figuring out what the students do not understand.
I will then address this area and ensure the student grasps the material
I believe in visual stimulation and repetition of material to help students understand the information.
Constant evaluation such as small quizzes or tests are part of my methodology, this shows students how far they are in terms of understanding the material and what still needs attention.
