About John

As a semi-retired Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager, I am very confident in the subject matter.
I have successfully created courses and taught classes for different levels of workers and managers at powerplants, manufacturing, and facilities operations and maintenance personnel needing to learn about the advanced technologies, physics, and math functions needed to operate, adjust, and maintain new processing systems. Taking higher-level concepts, design parameters, and complex interactions to a simplified, easier-to-comprehend class content and instruction manual use.
My approach to tutoring is to understand where you may be stuck, and coaching/teaching toward your individualized understanding of the subject, task, or process. Classroom teachers typically have limited time to devote to "other" ways to approach or come to understand solving problems. I am innovative and work diligently to assure you understand the concepts and processes needed to complete coursework and apply mathematics in daily life.

About the lesson

Tutoring is an activity that I've done as a part of training programs in professional settings. I also did quite a bit of peer tutoring all through University and during my master's degree program. More than half of my Project Management engagements over the past 15 years have involved training company personnel in Project Management styles, tools, and status reporting. Each process is personalized to the corporate culture.
I now have more time to Tutor or Teach, and look forward to helping individuals achieve their best potential through their current coursework, supplemented as needed with alternate methods or approaches to perform mathematics and related subjects.
