About Hana

Hello! As a UCL Mechanical Engineering student with a record of top academic performance, I’m dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential in maths. I bring a structured, supportive approach to each session, designed to build your confidence and mastery of the subject. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where questions are encouraged, and each concept is made accessible, regardless of your starting point. Rest assured, I am here to support you every step of the way. Let’s make this a fantastic learning experience!

About the lesson

Each of my tutoring sessions is designed to be engaging, supportive, and tailored to your needs. I begin by identifying any areas you find challenging or topics you'd like to explore in more depth. From there, we will break down complex concepts into manageable steps, using examples and practice problems to reinforce understanding and build confidence.

In a typical lesson, we will begin with a review of previous material, going through any difficult areas or misconceptions in further detail. I intend to explain concepts with clear examples, focusing on the "why" as well as the "how", to allow you to not only solve problems but also understand the logic behind them. Once the main content has been understood, I will guide you through solving problems and then gradually step back as you gain confidence and independence. At the end of each lesson, we will review what we covered, address any remaining questions, and set goals for the next session, whether that is mastering a specific technique, preparing for exams, or strengthening foundational skills.

My experience as both a student and tutor has shown me that learning maths is not just about memorising formulas but about truly understanding the subject. I encourage questions and am always patient, making sure each student feels supported. Whether you're aiming to excel in your GCSEs, A-Levels, or simply boost your maths confidence, I'm here to help you succeed and develop a genuine interest in the subject.
