I am a mechanical engineering student in Philadephia. I began tutoring in math during my junior year in high school when I joined the math honors society, Mu Alpha Theta. I have helped 10 people with their coursework in one-on-one sessions and in small groups.

Math is a very problem-based subject. Once you know the process for solving a type of problem, it becomes easier and easier. Therefore, I go through many practice problems with my students. Depending on their understanding of the material, I may work through problems myself and explain my methods or simply watch as the student attempts problems and have them justify their work.
