About Shakir
Heya! I’m a 2nd year Mechanical Engineering student at Imperial College London who’s deeply interested in Robotics and sustainable Energy. When I’m not busy cramming through my studies, I like to go on hikes or play football.
During GCSEs and A levels, Maths and Physics were my absolute favourite subjects. For me, they have never been just subjects but tools to understand our complex world and build around it. Now you might not share the same enthusiasm but my goal is to help you achieve your ambitions in these subjects and hopeful spark more curiosity about them. I have previously taught GCSEs in Pakistan before moving to Cardiff where I studied at Cardiff Sixth College, the best independent school in the UK. Even there I gave lessons with the Ethnic Youth Support Team Wales during the course of my study.

I like a holistic approach to teaching by firstly gauging how much the student already knows, tackling topics the student is weak at and then building upon the stronger ones. The idea is to help you understand the formulas and theory so you can apply them in different scenarios for your exams.
As each student is different, my approach is flexible. My goal is to help the student realise their ambition in the subject and then, do my very best to meet that expectation.
