About Zachary

As a dedicated Mechanical Engineering student and college athlete, I bring both strong academic preparation and a disciplined work ethic to my tutoring. With a background in AP Physics 1 & 2, AP Physics C, AP Calculus, and AP Biology, I have a solid foundation in advanced STEM coursework and a clear understanding of what students need to succeed. I take pride in being reliable, well-prepared, and professional in every session, ensuring that students feel supported and confident in their learning. My goal is to create a learning environment where concepts are explained clearly, confusion turns into success, and progress is regular.

About the lesson

My Approach as a Tutor -

I teach the way I learn: by actually understanding what’s going on instead of memorizing formulas and hoping for the best. When something finally clicks and makes sense, school gets way easier—and that’s what I try to help students get to. I break things down in a simple, logical way so you know why you’re doing each step, not just what the steps are.

How I Teach -

I teach the way I wish people had taught me: slow, clear, and not confusing on purpose. I show you the tricks and approaches that helped me get through hard classes, and we build your understanding from the ground up. I try to create a learning environment with no pressure—just learning at your pace.

What a Lesson Looks Like -

We start by going over what you’re stuck on—homework, test prep, a concept from class, whatever. I walk you through it step-by-step, show you how I think about the problem, and then we practice together until it feels natural. By the end of each session, you’ll have a clear takeaway and actually know what you’re doing the next time you see a similar question.

What Makes Me Different -

I’m a college mechanical engineering major and student-athlete, so I’m used to handling tough classes with a packed schedule. I know how it feels to be confused in class, and I also know how to break things down so they finally make sense. I’m not here to lecture—I’m here to help you actually get the material.
