About Charlie
I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate from ETH Zürich with a strong academic background in maths and physics. Having recently completed my degree, I understand the challenges students face when preparing for GCSE and A-level exams, and I enjoy helping them build both confidence and understanding.
Alongside my studies, I have balanced a high-performance sporting career, which has strengthened my discipline, organisation, and ability to communicate clearly under pressure. I am patient, approachable, and genuinely enjoy teaching, aiming to make lessons both engaging and effective.

I take a structured but flexible approach to tutoring, adapting each session to the student’s needs and goals. I focus on building a strong understanding of core concepts first, then reinforcing this through targeted practice and exam-style questions. I encourage students to think through problems step by step, helping them develop confidence and independence rather than just memorising methods.
For A-level and GCSE students, I place particular emphasis on exam technique, common pitfalls, and efficient problem-solving under time pressure. I also aim to create a supportive and relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging actively with the material.
