About Mufaddal

I am a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from McGill University (Class of 2016). I did well in University (graduated with distinction, top 10% of the class), and have experience tutoring Mathematics [Calculus 1,2,3 and advanced Calculus among other areas of Mathematics] for three years. I have also taught Mathematics at a Highschool level. I worked at Amazon.com in operations, and I am now working as a Product Manager at Citibank in Toronto, ON.

About the lesson

My first class is the most important one for me and my student - I determine exactly which chapters/topics the student needs assistance with for any specific subject. I also set the pace of teaching according to the needs of my student. Second, I test the student to understand what his or her level of understanding of the subject at hand is. Third, I design the course tailored to meet the learning needs and timeline of my student.

The structure of my course depends on the subject being taught however just to give you a rough idea for Mathematics for example, i follow this chronological order:

Step 1: Cover the theoretical portion of the chapter in discussion.
Step 2: Apply the concepts learned with examples. Here I will solve problems with the student for him/her to get a better understanding of the concepts learned in Step 1.
Step 3: I prepare a problem set for my student which he or she works at home. I keep myself very available for questions so you can email me your queries and i will respond within 24 hours to help you
resolve them.
Step 4: I work the problems the student faced together in the next session.
