About Mahinthan

As a Mathematics graduate, with over 20 years of tutoring experience, I specialise in helping students build confidence and mastery in Mathematics, from 11+ entrance exams through to GCSE and A-Level.

Over the years, I’ve supported more than 30 students, many of whom I guided from 11+ preparation through to achieving strong A-Level results. My approach focuses on developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts while building exam confidence through consistent practice and clear explanation.

I’m passionate about seeing students progress, not just in grades, but in their attitude towards maths. Many of my students start out unsure of their abilities and go on to genuinely enjoy the subject.

About the lesson

My lessons are structured, practical, and results-driven. I start with the core theory to ensure full understanding, then move to guided worked examples, followed by extensive problem-solving and exam practice.

I believe exam success comes from consistent exposure to real questions, learning how to apply knowledge under timed conditions and building the habits that lead to top marks.

Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace, strengths, and school curriculum, with a focus on improving both accuracy and confidence.
