About Jasmeet
Hi, I'm a passionate Maths tutor with over 10 years of experience helping students succeed in 11+, GCSE Maths, A-Level Maths and A-Level Further Maths.
I achieved A* grades in both Maths and Further Maths at A-Level and graduated with a First class Mathematics degree from King's College London, and currently work as a Data Engineer. Alongside my professional career, tutoring has always been my passion. I genuinely enjoy helping students develop their understanding of Maths and watching their confidence grow as topics that once seemed difficult begin to make sense.
Throughout my tutoring career, I have worked with students of all abilities—from those who need extra support to build confidence to those striving for the highest grades. Every student learns differently, and I find it incredibly rewarding to adapt my teaching to suit each individual's needs and see them achieve their goals.
I believe that with clear explanations, patience, and the right guidance, every student can succeed in Maths. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them understand the subject, think logically, and become more confident, independent learners. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a student overcome a challenge and realise they are capable of achieving far more than they initially believed.

Every student learns differently, so I believe there is no single teaching method that works for everyone. My lessons are carefully tailored to suit each student's current ability, learning style, and academic goals.
At the beginning of our lessons, I identify the topics that need the most attention and create a structured plan to address them. I explain concepts clearly using simple, step-by-step methods before gradually introducing more challenging questions to strengthen understanding and problem-solving skills.
During lessons, I encourage students to ask as many questions as they need. I create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, discussing their difficulties, and building confidence without fear of judgement.
Lessons typically include:
-Reviewing previous topics and addressing misconceptions.
-Learning new concepts through clear explanations.
-Guided practice with increasing levels of difficulty.
-Exam-style questions and problem-solving techniques.
-Tips for improving accuracy, speed, and exam confidence.
-Homework and optional practice to reinforce learning between lessons.
My Teaching Philosophy:
I believe that every student is capable of succeeding in Maths with the right support and guidance.
Rather than simply teaching students how to memorise methods, I focus on helping them understand why those methods work. Once students understand the logic behind mathematics, they become more confident, independent learners who can tackle unfamiliar problems with confidence.
My lessons are supportive, interactive, and adapted to each student's pace, ensuring steady progress without unnecessary pressure.

My goal is to help students overcome any difficulties they have with Maths and reach the grades they are capable of achieving.
