About Humayun

I am an experienced Aerospace engineer, having served more than 30 years in industry and the last 5 years in education. I enjoy explaining how maths and science are used to explain, model and solve problems in real life with examples taken from industry and encourage you to ask questions to to get the context on why you are studying Maths.
I like to give an overview of a particular Maths topic and go through many examples, before I set any practice questions. I will only set these when the student is comfortable to accept the challenge and is in line with the syllabus being taught and past papers available.
I have supported many students doing GCSE/and IGCSE in Maths and A-levels both in a 1-2-1 environment at home as well as in Summer Revision courses run by schools and would be able to provide good guidance on how to get the maximum marks in your papers using the best techniques and approaches. I also have a good number of resources available to help cater for your needs.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching varies with the student in mind but varies from contextual to a focus on using a systematic approach in solving problems in a logical order. I am friendly and adaptive to the needs of the students, whether preparing for exams or progressing through various topics for mastery with plenty practice. I do expect my students to be focussed and do any homework required.+
