About Tess

My teaching approach for Maths is **relaxed, application-focused, and deeply connected to real-world uses**. I believe mathematics is not only about solving equations but also about shaping the way we think, especially in today’s digital world. I link concepts in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus with ideas in coding logic, algorithmic thinking, and computational processes.
I often use programming analogies to make complex concepts more relatable. For example, explaining functions as reusable “code blocks” or algorithms as step-by-step problem-solving recipes. This helps students connect math with skills in discrete mathematics and computer science.
Lessons are interactive and conversation-driven. Students are encouraged to ask questions freely and explain their thought process without fear of mistakes. I guide them to think like both an **architect**, who builds strong structures of knowledge, and a **proof seeker**, who tests and refines ideas with precision.
