About Tom
I have recently graduated from Durham University with a first class master's degree in mathematics and physics, receiving the Peter Rowe memorial prize for academic excellence in my final year. I achieved A*s in Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A-Level and I have a personally developed set of tricks and shortcuts I'm eager to share!
Over the past five years I have been working solely as a tutor, successfully helping 20+ students surpass their predicted grades and achieve their academic potential. I strive to pass on my skills and experience in problem solving, and enable students to feel confident in their mathematical ability.

My teaching method is tailored to the ambitions of the student. If a deeper, extracurricular understanding of the content is preferred then my lessons can be more eclectic and train skills which will be valuable for higher education. Alternatively, I can take an exam oriented approach by focusing entirely on exam relevant material, teaching exam technique and setting targeted homework.
