About Graeme
I am still an active member in the LVK Scientific Collaboration, so hold myself to the highest standards of one of the world's leading scientific collaborations.
I have a much more casual, but professional, teaching style than most tutors and I want to reassure students that not knowing everything is very much the case at all levels of education. I am always learning and I like to demonstrate that to reassure the student and allay any fears or anxieties.

Having done science communication for the last 12 years, I have engaged and taught 5-85 year olds from simple topics, such as projectile motion, to the complex, such as the detection of gravitational waves from black holes. As a still-active member of the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA scientific collaboration, as well as 3 years industry experience studying and applying electromagnetic stealth to ships and submarines, I know people learn in different ways, including myself, so I can tailor my tutoring to your specific needs. Furthermore, I have extensive contacts worldwide in scientific in engineering disciplines from industry to the very top of academia which I am happy to share as part of any careers advice required. I hold a PhD in Experimental Astrophysics and a BSc (Hons) in Physics with Astrophysics, both from the University of Glasgow. I also have formal paid teaching experience teaching coding, maths, physics and experimental work to undergraduate students.
