About Yousif
My name is Yousif, and I am an A level student studying Maths, Physics and Chemistry with 3A* predicted grades; at GCSE, I performed top of my cohort and achieved 5 9s (English literature, Maths, and all 3 sciences) and 4 8s (Further Maths, English Language, RE and Geography) and a L2D* in Engineering. Described by friends, teachers and other students as patient and attentive, I am a source of help to others and am gladly so. Teaching younger years in the past couple of years at school, I have found I greatly enjoy bringing subjects down to a more digestible standpoint as I do think that sometimes teachers might not be able to give the right one-to-one approach for improvement for every student, making topics and lessons harder than they need to be. I am head boy of my sixth form and am a medicine (3000 B2 UCAT) and natural science offer holder, hoping to study medicine next year.

At least once a week, 1-hour lessons of variable content. I personally believe that knowing the content first and then finding out how exams want to phrase, or approach questions is the best way of scoring highly. So, I will go through the syllabus briefly with the student to find which topics to teach and prepare for the following week, and further after this keeping communication with them go through homework or past paper questions they may struggle with. This I have found is a great way of tutoring, being tutored myself in the past. I prefer a more stress-free approach when teaching, so I enjoy seeing the thought process of the student, and finding where to improve upon it.
